"Taste Of Home" presents DIY Purée Pumpkin Instructions

Take 3 small pumpkins and cut each in half. Scrape out the seeds and pulp from the center of all sides until just the meat with skins are left. Cut into slices. Place on baking sheet and bake for 45 minutes in a 350-degree oven. You can use a toothpick or fork to check if the pumpkin slices are tender. After baking, the skin on your pumpkin pieces should come off easily. Remove all the pumpkin skin. Take pumpkin slices and place in a food processor. Add a few pieces at a time to make the processes faster and your mixture smoother. Add tablespoons of water, as needed, if it is dry then process until smooth. Be careful, you do not want it to be watery. Your cooked puréed pumpkin is now ready to use! If you have extra, you can store it in the freezer for use in other recipes...
